Cambria is a seaside village in San Luis Obispo County, along Highway 1, which runs along the coast. Cambria is amidst the large Monterey pines, one of the only three forests with Monterey pines. The town has a total area of 8.5 sq. miles, all land, according to the 2010 US census, and has a population of 6,032 people Cambria is home to the historic Nitt Witt Ridge, a house built from recycled materials, and is a California Historical Landmark. The primary economy of Cambria revolves around tourism., with bed ad breakfasts, hotels, and shops along Moonstone Beach Drive. Beaches and tidepools, filled with sea anemones, star fish, crabs and more, attract many tourists. Hearst Castle is about 6 miles north of Cambria.
